Nancy’s Bio:
Nancy was born and grew up in Vancouver BC. She graduated from UBC in 1991 with a combined bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Law. She started her career in a solicitor’s firm in Vancouver and then in Richmond. She was doing very well but at one point, she needed to make a choice, career or family.
In 2004, she left the practice of law and joined a financial planning firm as an Estate and Certified Financial Planner; the switch gave her opportunity to uncover her purpose in life. Her current passion is to help families achieve peace and harmony in family and business wealth management.
Though life is busy in family and career, Nancy believes in giving back to the community. She still finds time in serving in the community and ministry. She has served both as President and Secretary of the Vancouver Pacific Lions Club, and has been a participating member of the organization since 1994. She has been serving in the Chinese-Canadian Telethon Committee for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Planned Giving Committee, helping raise awareness and assist people to make planned gifts for charities. She also believes in voicing out for the vulnerable crowd – She and her company strongly support ICC (International China Concern), an organization helping handicapped and abandoned children in China.
The grace that she experienced from Jesus Christ motivates her to become a planning team member of WHEN (Women’s Heart Engaging Network) supported by Power to Change, the vision of which is to connect women to Christ via quarterly luncheons held.
She is married to her understanding husband, Edwin, and they have two beautiful children, Emma and Dylan. She will be sharing how her relationship with Christ enables her to make wise decisions in family, business and all walks of life.
